Self-Exploring Shadow

When a shadow finds his sunshine, more of himself is revealed.

There's a shadow with multiple battles.

Among them was "What I Want vs What I'm Supposed to Want"

He was shoved into the darkness

By unempathized fears

Inability to predict trust

Disregarded numbness

Illusions of a vantablack soul

And struggled wishes to mean something.

As the years pass,

He loses himself within an escape

And finds himself in a similar silhouette

That holds pond blue eyes

And sunshine in his heart.

The shadow saw more of himself

Through swirling lights of boldness and inspiration.

For many years,

The shadow clung to the sunshine man

And his light revealed the shadow's potential and talent.

The former shadow had his struggles,

But Sunshine exposed him to people to turn to,

Talents he was once a stranger to,

And a community who needed them (including him).

What once was a shadow buried in darkness

Is a Daniel Howelling to show he's sticking around.
