I have been writing Poetry since I was a teenager. Now in my late thirties I enjoy it more than ever. I find it a wonderful release and it helps me to free my mind and understand myself and my emotions.
As I turn off the television the news brings tears to my eyes.
So much sadness at the loss of yet more innocent lives.
Why is it that these Terrorists make innocent people pay the price ?
Together, we can grow strong.
What if there was no tomorrow ?
We only had today.
Would we still live these lives in the same old ways ?
Would we act cruel to those that we love ?

Assassinations, Wars and political deaths.
Kidnaps, Murders, so few of us are left.
A child is born he learns to talk.
He's holding a Gun soon as he can walk.
Then he follows his God, ‘Cause ...
There is a vacant look behind the eyes.
A mystery of unwelcome surprise.
That hides a fear of the unsaid.
Of the worst that could happen within my head.
I sit in silence my heart pounds.
The moment is gone too soon.
A step in the right direction, a lesson learned in the wrong.
A leap from the dark, slowly I claw myself back to where I belong.
A bittersweet message in a bottle, graces ...

The Snow drifts carelessly, clouds my vision so white.
My heart beats relentlessly, On this cold Winters night.
