How Do I Love Myself?
I spend my nights in dislocation, in morbid solitude. Boundless static closes in, only to be swallowed by the peripheral ether of my mind. The television squawks its electrical pulse to the beat of my restless gray matter. I am sprawled across a leather couch, barely in the realm of the conscious as the fellas on the screen send me their best, asphyxiating standards of living no human being can hope to ascertain.

The Future Is Nuclear
In a world of mass disinformation, it is easy to let opinions and speculation get in the way of facts and science. It is no secret our climate is changing. What is difficult is accurately predicting the impact this change will have on the immediate and long-term futures. Due to a mainly political agenda, alternative fuels such as wind, hydroelectric, and solar power have been idolized as our planet’s saving grace. At the same time, exaggerated claims have destroyed the reputation of anything nuclear, and has made the subject almost taboo. However, when presented objectively with the facts, as well as the sheer potential of fission/fusion technology, it is understandable to see nuclear power is the most viable alternative to fossil fuels in the fight to deter climate change.

Adam Raised a Cain
The wipers moved with concerning ferocity, urging away the plummeting rain, determined to keep the windshield clear, even if it meant sacrificing themselves in doing so. The rain had been continuous, relentless, for fifty miles. Victor drove in silence, too preoccupied with keeping the worst from his mind to bother with the radio. He sighed and rolled a cigarette with his right hand, an art he had been practicing since his fifteenth birthday when his own father had continued the tradition of parental negligence. Victor had no patience for any tobacco that wasn’t whole leaf. He put the cigarette in the corner of his mouth and chewed the end without lighting it. Victor was in the third month of quitting tobacco products, though he no longer inhaled smoke, the taste of it was something he would never give up.
