Happy HallowThankMas. If you remotely know me, you would understand that when the calendar hits October first, I am in full holiday swing. With my spooky decorations in the dorm, Thanksgiving drawings planned out, and half of my Christmas shopping done, I am in the spirit.

Birthday Trip
Sunday April 29, 2018 As we are leaving Philly, I can’t help but think about the previous trips we have taken. It seems as though each time gets better and better. But it has hit me that this may be our last for a while. Becca and Steve are planning on moving back home soon, which means no more spontaneous getaways to the city I have begun to fall in love with.

Lies My Anxiety Tells Me
It feels like you’re at the top of a roller coaster. You know the drop is coming, sometime that is. Sometimes it’s a few seconds, other times, minutes. Swirling upside down and right-side up. Whipping you left and right with your adrenaline pumping through your thin bluish-green veins. Your breath becomes heavy; it feels as though you are breathing through a green Starbucks straw. The pumping of your heart can be felt through your temples—pulsing, racing, scaring you. Deep breaths. In and out. In that moment the only thing you need is pain, something to distract you. And then it’s over.
