Beyond the black gate
In my youth I was troubled by horrid dreams. One so much re-occurring with great ferocity that still unnerves me. The minor details always changing, wandering for days through a desert, a dense forest, or glacial tundra. Walking or sometimes running from an unknown terror. Every time, there's a moment where I turn around and behold a monolithic set of double doors made of pitched iron or some sort of strange dark bronze.

Just friends
We spend our night stalking each other across the bedroom. Antediluvian and formidable are our desires, both old and familiar in paradox. The rush of only touching your leg, and bringing my hand across your cheek, watching through faintly shut eyelids, as we pull each other in. The feeling of your hands through my hair, your lips on my neck, to hear you whisper your wants into my ear - these things so ancient since the days of Helen and Paris.

I want to kiss you.
I want to kiss you. I want my shaky hands to grip your flushed cheeks, to feel your button nose against mine, and to run my hands through your hair like beach sand. To see your wild eyes peer into mine, because in you I feel seen. In your eyes I'm no longer a sector of a former self, but something naked and new.

Sculpture
Standing on the sholes of the lake, I stand in stunned awe at a creature. A being carved from the very marble of David; marble skin drawn by Rembrandt, and in your soft brown eyes I see something bewildering and beautiful, to get lost in the empyrean itself. You stand apart from the emerald greens and clouded skies, statuesque and imperious in your gaze, like a sculpture from antiquity.
