Where Nashoba Walked
Nashoba was tracking deer along the Feshaw River when a snake spooked his horse. Ordinarily, he would not have lost his balance, but lately, he had fallen victim to Head-In-Clouds Disease. He had thrown stones at She Who Loves Butterflies, and she had not responded. The horse warned him, then reared into the air. Nashoba came down hard, hit his head, and his horse was off and running most likely back to the village where maybe She Who Loves Butterflies would notice he was missing.

One Night of Watery Fear
Charles Jackson French was serving his duty as a mess hall attendant in the Guadalcanal located off the Solomon Islands in 1942 during World War II. This was his second enlistment in the U.S. military. He was on board the U.S. destroyer ship, “Gregory” when it came under fire from Japanese guns. Amid the cries of, “Abandon Ship!” French, along with other sailors, some badly wounded, found themselves pitched into the sea, dodging rapid fire in shark-infested waters. A few life rafts were deployed, French spotted one of them ad began piling on his wounded shipmates. He piled the sailors on the raft until it almost sank.

Glamma Gigi's Unfortunate Timing
Imagine looking for your grandma and finding her floral caftan with matching pink furry slippers, the floral citrus smell of Channel #5 still hanging in the air meandering along the trail of brilliant zinnias all the way to the hot tub. Then imagine the evidence, a struggle, indentations in the St. Augustine signaling an awful sordid event that took all the sunshine right out of the sunshine state. Then there was my Pop, what would he do now without her?
