You

My Muse

Infatuated

There's this thing you have I'd like to take away

like the weight of drenched clothing on your back in the day.

The compass read North but I can feel you South,

tugging at my memories as if they won't come out.

Because there is nothing that I want to forget,

I refuse to feel negligent against the day we met.

There is this one little note, if you may,

that I need to release but don't know how to say.

There's something you have that I want to take away,

nothing makes me happier than stealing your pain.

I don't want you thinking this is out of the blue,

but I suppose there's this thing you want to tell me too.

I snuck into your bedroom and noticed through my peripheral,

my apologies have overflown, remaining only visceral.

I want to be your crutch, your muse, your only thought in bed,

because the little thing is this,

I want to ravish you instead.

Our detriment is thicker than the walls between our lips,

my dreams feel as real as your fingers on my hips.

All I need to know is that you'll never let me die,

I do not do this often so I'm sorry to comply.

To save myself, please write to me but only if you can,

I think I may have come up with a diabolical plan.

We may not know how or why or even when,

I don't really care as long as you are in.

There's nothing else that I can give you more than myself,

a message will arrive for you to save you and your health,

they're letters from my bedroom that only you can read

like our own little secret code, do you know what I mean?

I know you want to hear me and I'm running out of time

but all I truly, really want is that you would be mine.
