Missing What You Never Had...

I miss the way you smiled

So bright, so kind, so full of life

A star that can give the jaded hope

I miss it, the shine of your hair

The way the sunlight danced upon raven locks

To bring out the copper hidden underneath

I miss it, your touch

The silken sensation enveloping my wrist

Pulling me into worlds that I have never known

I hold on to what little I had of you

Though the things I never had

Cut me like the sharpest knife

I wish I could have felt your kiss

Wish I could have felt your warm embrace

Wish I could hear your kind voice once more

Wish I could have felt your hand in mine

Known the smell of your hair

Woken up next to you

Wish that I could turn back time

'Cause I fell for you

And then I let you go
