Is Christmas too commercialised
With its penchant for retail
Is it less religious
As we forget why we celebrate
What would bring home
The true Christmas spirit
What do we need to change
To make it all right
It's all in the minds eye
To where the focus should start
It's within our own hearts
Is where it should begin
Amongst all the festivities
Of parties and cheer
Among all the children
Waiting for Santa to appear
For every wrong doing
And every good deed
We still have hope
And a reason for living
That's our cue to rejoice
And our reason for giving.
