What If Chocolate Cake Was Served on Lily Pads?

What if chocolate cake was served on lily pads?

What a sight that would be!

The frogs and gators would all be in a hustle and a bustle

to get the first bite of the scrumptious chocolaty cake,

as it would sit in the sun to just bake.

The fish would swim by, hoping for the smallest crumb,

for that would be much better than the usual pond scum.

The birds might flap and flutter around in a tizzy,

making the fish feel a little uneasy and dizzy.

Also, the flies might start to swarm,

and then this would all become the norm...

Until a hurricane would come by and blow all the cake away,

and blow all the frogs and gators away,

and blow all the fish down stream,

and blow all the birds away,

for all the hungry animals would be sure to not stay.

So maybe it is a good thing that chocolate cake isn't served on lily pads

after all…
