Up, Out of the Sea

Unsuspecting

There once was a monster who came up out of the sea,

if you set eyes on him, then you would surely wish to flee.

He had lots of heads...and crowns...and horns,

and when he spoke, it created the most terrible storms.

He looked like a leopard...and a bear...and a lion all in one,

and he stood under the heat of the day's shining sun.

Great was the power bestowed to him to havoc, wreak,

destruction was set in his eyes and this is all he would seek.

There was a part of him who had received a fatal blow,

though, despite his wound, he still wielded power to show.

It was mystifying to see many in the world who would him follow,

even though it was clear that his heart was deceptive and hollow.

"Let us come and worship the beast!" they would urge,

even though the beast would soon the world purge.
