Turn the Page

Hope for the Hurt

Turn the page, carry on my son

Chase your destiny, hear your song be sung

Turn the page, carry on my son

Yesterday is done, today has just begun

Relinquishing my sword, a knight’s pledge to be reborn

Heart’s been stolen, from her every word, a southern charm

Vessel of healing wounds, a past storm of scars I mourn

Revealing these stories; a soul saturated in harm

See the naked truth, the big picture, a poet’s whole

Bask in the fountain of freedom, pouring from the pen’s ink

Serenade the sleepy; let me play the watching fool

Admire this purity, an intangible swan, a sincere dink

Patience; enjoy the journey, a gentlemen’s rule

Turn the page, carry on my son

Chase your destiny, hear your song be sung

Turn the page, carry on my son

Yesterday is done, today has just begun

Enter the fairest one; a wild child with a dancing soul

A heart of gold, genuine, a creature of ambition

Giggly, clumsy, and a world of adventure to unfold

Mapping moments of her memories; a garden of fruition

Seeking starry nights with a crescent moon lit bright

Appearance dashing, laughing magic, leaping passion

Soul richer than the sweetest chocolate; her eloquent insight

Hearing that voice, felt like a harpist stringing

While the glow of a golden sun sweeps the day

Swear on your honor, this life is yours to make

Trust and deliver, stay true to what you say

Give with love; remain calm as the lake

Integrity, matters most to remain true

In this life, we are the hero of our story

Write an ending, that few others do

Turn the page, carry on my son

Chase your destiny, hear your song be sung

Turn the page, carry on my son

Yesterday is done, today has just begun
