Totally Proud but Trying to Be Modest

A Poem

There are so many times when things have been broken. Maybe it was a coincidence, maybe a mistake but once it has been dropped it may no longer be your prize token.

Take for instance that beautiful vase...you probably didn't see it; you've been drinking for days. If perchance it happened to fall, do you think you would be able to fix it at all?

And if let's say you managed to glue it back once more...do you think the cracks won't be seen like they weren't there the day before?

I can see you're trying your hardest; totally proud but trying to be modest.

You think you've fixed it. Look upon it like something you took the time to repair. But the truth is that we will always see the crack, so thin...almost like hair.

The truth is one can never forget; the original form of its beauty, the feeling of no regret.

And so now the choice is yours. To either stay and push forward, or move on. So long as you feel like you haven't closed any doors.
