The Rest of Our Lives

Making Memories

By Yogi SharpPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

I want the rest of my life with you,

when we are grey, and more years are few,

I Will look upon your smile, it'll make me stop and reminisce a while,

a lifetime of memories I'll see in your eyes,

The realisation of how time flies.

When our children have up and grown, there in your presence, I'll be home,

Feeling the warmth of all the years,

All the laughter and all the tears,

Memories imprinted on each of our hearts,

an unbreakable bond that can not depart.

I want to share everything I Do,

Experience all things in life with You,

Put your smile into every event,

So I see them all, remembering the life we've spent.

When we are sitting there, in our old age,

Our book of life on its final page,

I'll smile and I'll be content,

Because it was with you, on life's path I went.
