The Eyes of the Beholder

Sight From My Heart. Beauty is what you see.

I stood before the dawn;

With sorrow in my heart.

Tears from my eyes did part.

I asked God for strength.

As I watched the darkness pass,

the light then entered in;

It was then life would begin.

God began to fill the sky.

With soft color in the clouds,

Shades and tints took their place

Building texture in space,

I felt his love fill the air

As it opened wide my eyes.

I saw now what lay inside.

I felt his love painted there,

All the beauty I could share.

In the eyes of the beholder,

I saw with my heart.

His presence lingered there

With all his love to share.

He filled my heart with joy.

What may seem gloomy and dark

Truly lies in the eyes of the beholder,

When seeing through my heart.
