So Much

Poetry

I can only take in so much hurt,

Before it starts to razor cut my lungs,

And I stop breathing in my own air.

I become caged, in a thought that you shared.

And I do my best to stand tall, to be the best I can be so that maybe you would set me free.

Incorrectly saying that you do in fact love me.

Silence.

I'll break open my teeth and spill out what my mind has had trapped inside of me.

I don't mean to make you hurt, the same way as I. But I can't stand by and watch people play with my life.
