Overthinking...

A Spoken Word Poem About My Boyfriend

I can't help but overanalyze every small detail in life,The way some people smileWhat I eat and how I eat it.The way your voice faltersSometimes when we talk...

You see it's the small things that fuck me up,Like when you don't say I love you,Just as much as you did the day before.Because I know you love me,And not all my jokes are going to be funny.

But its still my mind overanalyzing.thinking up different scenariosthat could happen, but more than likely won't.

I think about the way your hair fallsso perfectly to cover your face when you laughor how just before you smilethe right side of your mouthquivers in a smirk before showingyou're beautifully imperfect but perfect to my teeth.

I lay awake at night thinking, about what will happen to usin a week, a month, a year...will we still be together?will we be on the same path?Did I move away for college and you stay?or are we going to becuddled up in bed laughingabout a memory we share...
