That there such is such mystery

In the plain simplicity

Of Identity?

Men all have a male body,

Women have a female body,

That’s just how it has and will continue to be.

Men and women are identified automatically

By their clothes and their body,

But what about when it comes to androgyny?

Now, there’s the mystery.

Are they a he,

Or a she?

If anybody

Can label you easily

As a she or a he,

You instantly

Have the right to personal privacy.

But when that feeling of frightful mystery

Creeps back into our society

Infected with cisnormativity,

Aggressive cis mystery

Overpowers trans and non-binary safety.
