Mindful Youth

Looking Back

Fond the memories of distant past where youth beguiled my form.

Latter days of teenage calm would balance the carefree charm.

Free was the mind for playful wants, simple and un-complex

Differ the memory now old and grey trying to grasp what once came next.

What lay beyond this day is yet unknown but to myself I pledge.

I will seek the tranquil mind of peaceful rest with iron resolve I press.

Joyful moments lay at my feet waiting in readiness to come forth.

I will relay them to the new generation who will listen to what they're worth.
