Love and Ego

"Love isn’t what you find in others..."

Love isn’t what you find in others,

It’s what you find in yourself that others love.

Even if it there are aspects of yourself that fester and eviscerate you,

like the pests that crowd your most precious of harvests.

You got to find what makes your seed grow.

And if you make that seed grow,

love is what makes the garden reap the bounty that feeds the community.

The community breaks bread to the country.

The country, then in turn, spreads the wealth to the globe.

But is this idealism or a fantasy?

Because the world is too wrapped up in and divided by ego.

Divided by the difference between the Proletariat and the Bourgeoisie

when the common dominator should be what satisfies the Common We.

The problem is, what satisfies the common we is the common me.

So, the question is, why should I satisfy you,

if it doesn’t satisfy my soul?

Because living to satisfying your soul doesn’t satisfy my soul

if yours doesn’t match mine.

But if our souls truly collide,

like pollen gives life to the sunflower,

I’ll be the sun that feeds your chlorophyll.

Photosynthesis is a harmonious process.

Let the sun mix with the rain and the path to Nirvana is lit.
