Life's Trail
I have followed the starlit ocean, where out on the waves I roam...

I have been to many a places,
I have turned over many a stone,
I have followed the moonlit river,
That babbles so softly, alone.
I have followed the morning blackbird,
Singing its idyllic, sweet, little tune,
I have followed the month of May,
Into the summery days of June.
I have followed sandhill paths,
Scattered with tiny shells,
I have followed countryside walks,
Pitted with brooks and wells.
I have followed the starlit ocean,
Where out on the waves I roam -
Yet as long as you're the wind in my sails,
I know you will guide me back home.
