It took the bold ones.

The ones who weren't afraid to stand up for what was right,

the ones who were ready for a fight.

The ones who were well spoken,

the ones who had been broken.

The ones who'd been broken in the right ways,

the ones, like stallions jetting through final sun rays.

The ones who said when enough was enough,

the ones who were unafraid to get rough.

The ones who were trained and ready,

the ones who were tried, true, and steady.

The ones with logic and wisdom beyond their years,

the ones who would plug away, even through their fears.

The ones who weren't blinded by their ill-gotten pride,

the ones who knew the truth and never lied.

The ones who would never give up or stop,

the ones who worked until they would drop.
