Illumines

Has not failed. It has

Not ever been tried,

Fully. There’s a mix

Of socialism

Here and some other

Mixtures there, but it

Has never had a

Chance. The closest it

Came to being free

And permanent was

During the latter

Part of the 19th

Century. Even

Then, like vultures that

Swoop down and feast on

Carrion, the ones

In America

Who would champion

Free markets left no

Flesh there. Statists then

Assumed control and

Quashed the body of

Capitalism

While its soul lingered.

Without a God in

The sky, that didn’t

Stop the fervor for

Regulations that

Attempted to make

Mystics of men, too.

Society tried

To shackle people

Into feeling that

Laissez-faire was shot.

A new spirit is

Alive today, though

It has been maligned,

Denigrated, and

Distorted. The fact

Remains; The only

System of justice

Illumines the dark.
