Happy Father's Day...

Happy Father's Day to the men out there like me.

Who try every day to be the best that they can possibly be.

Who are aware that their sun rises and sets with their child.

The men who are content to live a family life and no longer run wild.

For the men who sacrifice almost everything...

For the gifts of their children and all that they bring.

For all the time and the effort amid Blue skies and Grey.

It is to you that I wish a Happy Father's Day.

There are those I have seen when I’ve looked around.

That hide in the shadows and can never be found.

I will never understand how they can treat a life they made this way.

A heart empty and cold is the price they have to pay.

Since before I was a Dad I already knew the miracle I had.

I have gone above and beyond, lived days happy and sad.

Through every stage of life the first everything was with me.

I was blessed to be part of every moment and every special memory.

For all the men out there in this world who are just like me.

Who when they are home with their child there’s no place they’d rather be.

When our children wake in the night and cry and scream...

We are the ones to give comfort, to kiss their heads until they drift off in peaceful dream.

From the moment my eyes are open and I am out of bed.

I live the life of dedication to the child who lives constantly in my heart and head.

From breakfast to school to work to school to dinner to bath then again back to bed...

There is a strength that sustains me even when I am so tired and full of dread.

When I think It all gets to much I just look into her eyes.

I listen to her words that inspire me more and lift me by surprise.

For our children although are very young can be so very wise.

They are all the reason we need to walk on regardless through these lives.

So once again these words go out for all the Fathers like me.

Who live their lives for their children to make them as happy as can be.

For the men who realise that the path of fatherhood is the only way.

I say well done I’m proud of you and I wish you a Happy Father's Day.
