I call myself a hugger
Yet, touch scares me
Because of how much I crave it
I fear losing the people I connect with
I feel sometimes that I am too much
Too much myself
Taking up too much space
With my body
And voice
But I’m learning to do the things that scare me
In order to grow
Therapy is hard
But staying exactly the same is harder
So hug me
Connect with me
Deeper than on just a surface level
While I eat and take up space with a body
That loves to love
And speaks my truth
Even when my voice shakes
And the tears fall fast
My life has not been easy
But who said it would be?
