Disappearing

The Faded Friendship

I don't remember when you started to slip away.

The thought never occured to me

Not once did I imagine I could lose you.

But there I was, in conversaton with you

And I realized

The proximity we used to share was fading

You were my forever friend.

So why are you leaving me?

How can your absence be possible?

I told you of my grievance

Hoping you could set my mind at ease.

I wanted nothing more than to keep you.

I had already lost so much

Without you,

My true self would be no more.

You don't seem to hear my screams of distress

you must not see the pain in my eyes

Maybe it's already too late.

Please don't go

I cannot reside in a world

Where you're not there

Please

Come

Back
