Cold Fire

Poem

Drowned in the thought of you and I together.

Seems like unfortunate weather.

To see it as fate.

Would never compensate.

Like a cold fire.

It’s not really burning.

For the love I’m yearning.

Pondering over a bad case.

Something that just won’t erase.

Looks like a cold fire.

It’s not really keeping me warm.

Your feelings are not surrounding me in a swarm.

It’s right from wrong.

Yet you sing a different song.

Sounds like a cold fire.

Which is more like ice.

Isn’t part of the device.

I saw you hide away.

Keeping your thoughts for another day.

Feels like a cold fire.

There is no glow.

I have the affections that you’ll never know.

Began to question.

The reason behind your hesitation.

A cold fire is inside our hearts.
