Bitter Little Thing

A Song/Poem

Petunias, while stunningly beautiful, can mean anger and resentment.

He wants me to sing of happy days...

But I cannot see the sun for the gray.

Misery loves company

But you are no friend to me

I'm not a vinyl record to be played.

I don't feel like singing happy songs

And righting all your many wrongs

I'm not alive so you have something to complain to.

I don't feel like singing happy songs

And pretending that there's nothing wrong

I guess I'm just a bitter little thing here to test you.

He wants me to bow my head to pray

I want to punch him in the face.

His little girl's a little bitch now

He hates that he lost that power

For shame, his ideal plans gone to waste.

I don't feel like singing happy songs

And righting all your many wrongs

I'm not alive so you have something to complain to.

I don't feel like singing happy songs

And pretending that there's nothing wrong

I guess I'm just a bitter little thing here to test you.

Guess you learned that girls aren't made of clay...

Guess you learned I'm not a bitch to be played.

Guess you learned little girls don't stay that age.

I don't feel like singing happy songs

And righting all your many wrongs

I'm not alive so you have something to complain to.

I don't feel like singing happy songs

And pretending that I need you to go on

I guess I'm just better to be rid of you.
