Allured

Poem

Reality strikes again when the past continuously crosses my sins.

I try to fight back the tears to get rid of how you make me feel.

I’m selfish for stealing you away and it’s only wrong but if it’s worth seeing you again then hold me close before we say our final goodbye.

Because we both know this is going to end this time.

A clock ticks 'til my heart breaks and I am drowning in your eyes.

Because you mean the world to me, and I wish this could all be easy.

I’d chase after you endlessly.

I’m still fighting for you and I don’t know why.

If our love is like gravity, what’s the point in inanity?

If I’m obscured, then why are you allured?

I walk by and refuse to make the same mistakes.

I fell in love with you and it was beautiful like daybreak.

Don’t speak as if there’s another way because we both know what we’ll choose.

Don’t wash away the truth, you may be cruel.

But I’m in too deep and no matter what I’ll come back for you.

Because you mean the world to me, and I wish this could all be easy.

I’d chase after you endlessly.

I’m still fighting for you and I don’t know why.

If our love is like gravity, then what’s the point in inanity?

If I’m obscured, then why are you allured?
