From day 1,
You have carried me in your heart
Even when I grew strength to walk,
You told me we would never be apart
Growing into a life of my own
I’ve never strayed afar
Even after you thought you would lose me
Time wouldn’t take it that far
We may be apart
And about that you may be distraught
However, know that it’s to better myself
To learn about me what you have already thought
So fear not Mama
Your love is just fine
I know you’ll always worry about me
But, today is your’s to shine!
