A Love Needed

She had a love

And then she lost it

Started strong

Seemed like the right fit

It was long

Then he stopped kissing her lips

Before too long

His hands were on others hips

The fight prolonged

Years after they ended it

She always wondered what went wrong

Could there ever be a fix?

Thought he was the one

But he was too immature to understand it

So she never walked alone

And started to take her men in bigger bits

Partied all night long

Fucked guys for the hell of it

One night it went wrong

A man took advantage

She couldn’t manage

She began to panic

The man just vanished

She felted dirty

His hands on her

Hurting

She can’t recall ever yearning

For his touch

His concerning wasn’t much

He did what he shouldn’t

She cried and then she couldn’t

Court helped tame the fear

But something appeared every time after she let a man come near

She needed a gentle man

One that didn’t leave bruises with his hands

One that left her heart feeling like she can finally trust again

For a while it seemed like it would never happen

Those men only come with pure magic

Yet the universe knew she deserved that happiness

So out of the blue her love appeared

The feelings so new it felt weird

But it was finally true

Finally sincere

She kissed her groom

And the fear disappeared

Every now and then he’d beg too hard

For some loving but it wouldn’t get far

Flashbacks came and in little shards

Glass all broken in her heart

At times it would tear them apart

But this man was much more smart

Treated her like a princess not so she’d fall in to his arms

But so he could keep her away from all of the harm

Never let her re-open those scars

From her memories and her self

She needed him to be her help

He needed her to be himself

A love lost,

A love cheated,

Then finally,

A love needed
