You asked for it It was your fault Secrets sealed up in a vault You made it up Memories bloat Exaggerating, poor scapegoat...

Sticky fingers in my face Tangled strands all out of place Knees and elbows, sweaty toes Surprise fingers up my nose Stealing french fries from my plate
Glistening eyes Peer through the dew-damp window From the dusty Cozy cottage Where in the warm candlelight Nostalgia floats like a silent haze

Slowly Dusk creeps over the horizon Determined to once again slip his cold arms around me. He shrouds my daylight dreams With hazy tears of midnight
Oh serrated edges, Of the words that seep Into my ears from filthy lips Releasing them like poison Floating freely through the hazy air.
I guess that I have lost this fight Just waiting for my midnight flight I know that I will be alright I’m going home tonight
