A hallucinogenic drug fuel,
the spice of life is no spice at all.
It’s a fast track chug-a-long,
ghostly smoke from
a coke bottle bong.
It’s zombie. It’s un-dead.
It’s shop fronts. It’s pavements.
It’s scrambled head on burnt toast.
It’s grey matter devastation.
It’s an internet viral sensation
from indie iPhone film makers,
fleeting macabre fame for shivering shakers.
It’s lamppost collisions and curb stone slips,
suspended animation and mind warp trips.
It’s cryogenics but without the ice.
It’s frantic demand for available vice.
It’s a crawl through the village
with the children of the damned.
It’s a rabbit hole fall to the under-land.
It’s femme fatal without the intrigue.
Its amnesia, dystopia, overwhelming fatigue.
It’s the bottom of the bottle getaway day,
the rigmarole of slow decay.
It’s an internal, silent and desperate scream.
It’s a consciousness shut down;
too gone to dream.
It’s significant impact with a chemical twist,
a naughty but naughty on your shopping list.
It’s the dark under belly of shamanic chants,
a warm water wave as you piss your pants.
It’s a violent detonation of celestial globes,
it’s Tommy knockers in your occipital lobe.
It’s the new age millennial sniffing glue.
It’s a “where have all my friends disappeared to”
It’s inversion, perversion, a closed road diversion,
it’s an induced coma but a cut price version.
It’s a swim in the dark, a lobotomy scar,
a one directional bumper car.
It’s the great escape from a life too small,
it’s the spice of life with no flavour at all.
It’s a mouth that sucks on a car exhaust,
a potential pandemic holocaust.
It’s none propulsive, a sleep alternative,
the fusion of two negatives that don’t
make a positive.
It’s dark destruction, spiritual abduction,
it’s a lick on your lips but without the seduction.
It’s a saddle-less wild horse rodeo,
it’s zombies caught on video
