Your Passion Fruit

Call me what you know me as.

I let you call me this fruit.

The fruit that you love.

Because I’m able to make you happy and wonderful as it does.

I know no matter how many times you call me perfect, that I still am not.

That’s because although I’m not perfect, like passion fruit, I am still progressing.

I’m progressing as someone who fights for what makes sense and what is right.

I am your passion fruit.

I am yours, but I am mine first.

It’s hard to love myself as it is,

but I’m trying.

I have insecurities and I’m learning that I just need to like myself.

My improved self.

Now isn’t that courageous?

Change.

The one thing that passion fruit or any other fruit goes through to become beautiful.

It takes time, care, and heart to sprout the beauty and nourishment it holds.

So let me tell you, it takes all three things for me to with hold.

Then I see you.

The one that calls me their passion fruit.

What about you?

Do you want to grow?

Your passion fruit is open-minded.

Let that be you as well.

Your passion fruit is comfortable to go out of their comfort zone.

Let that be you as well.

Don’t preach the disgust.

Instead, embrace what you still don’t know.

Embrace the possibilities cause you will always be a student of life.

Your passion fruit knows all of this.

But do you?

Your passion fruit, the one you so proudly claim,

make it feel that they don’t have to doubt their beauty,

even jokingly, uncarefully, and unintentionally.

Your passion fruit feels.

It feels so much.

It can be as happy and as sad.

Do you understand?

Your passion fruit is sensitive,

but nothing to be wreckin' with.

Cause see,

Your passion fruit…

The passion fruit….

Will be strong and vigilant as it naturally is….

No matter what, where, when, who, and why
