Your Mirror

Reflections

Your mirror is broken

Distant memories fog the shattered glass

As you cover your face

And keep living in your traumatic past

Let me show you the reflection

Of the beauty that stands before me

Turn around

Let me be your mirror....

Starting with the shadows in your eyes

I see through your soul

Let’s fix your will to survive

Next to exfoliate those feelings of hate

Push in my love and let your heart rejuvenate

For all I see

Is the reflection of a man

That I want standing forever by me

Let me be your mirror.....

To show you those wrinkles in time

That wrap around your dreams like vines

Twisting around you leaving you paralyzed

Well here I am

Let me help you

I am ready to fight

Lather in some empathy to cover up your insecurities

Let me be your mirror.....

Keep looking towards me

For you are the fairest of them all

Even if only I can see

Your wings spread past reflections sight

Brandish them honorably

For you are about to take flight

Let me be your mirror

My angel

So you can see your true self clearer.....
