You Walked Away

I trusted you.

Sad.

I became sad.

I had a bad day, those happen sometimes.

I chose to come to you, and

You looked at me

Like I was crazy.

Crazy.

The word I try to knock out of my brain

Day in and day out, to convince myself I am not.

But your look said it all.

You acted as if my tears were uncalled for;

maybe they were.

But you walked away before asking,

before seeing through the tears.

Before knowing what my sadness was.

Depression.

It hit me that day,

I even warned you.

I trusted you.

You didn't care to even ask if I was okay.

You thought I loved you.

Or needed you.

You saw my tears as a cry

For your soul to see me.

You walked away,

When all I needed

Was for you to wipe the

Tears.
