You Tasted Like a Cigarette

But I liked it.

It was late, and you were on your way
Almost there baby girl, what a perfect thing to say
My knees were shaking, my hands were fidgeting
I haven't seen you in so long but this was just a little fling

One hour had passed and I was starting to fade
Then the lights in the window, I was no longer afraid

I opened the door and jumped in your arms
You seemed so excited, should I be alarmed?

You tasted like cigarettes and smelled like cheap cologne
Please don't ever leave, I cant stand to be alone

You closed the door behind you
And pulled out of the drive
I'll never see you again
And I barely feel alive
