You Must Like Me

With a Coffee Catalyst

Pressing powder in the creases

Breaking out the missing pieces

Lights are dimming

Braces thin

Protection blanket weaving’s grim

Mind reading speed of light

Send the demons into flight

Taking off from the dark

Spreading sunshine onto you

Working hard with glasses on

Typing within the dawn

Strengthening my nails so they don’t snap

Life so wide I’m feeling thick

Brimming with that attitude

Sending love

You must like me

Coffee mug in my hand

It steams softy

This ritual embalming

Caffeine so dull I’m fading

Heading into life misguided

The cigarette dropped, ignited

The time to fight is now

Meg El

I am a young, married woman. A free-spirited creative who wants to spread more love around the world. I frequently write what seem to be excerpts from a book I've never written. I hope you can enjoy these little pieces of random thought.
