You Let Me Go

Never Again

you admired and loved me like i was a rose

until my petals withered away

i lost my colour and became dark

to you i was now damaged and unlovable

you threw me away like waste

you left me in the dirt before you realised

roses grow back more beautiful

than before, although this time i

grew back, i grew thorns

now you'll never think about picking me

up and throwing me away again

-you underestimated me

I promise you’ll never hurt me again.

I have my guard up, my thorns will hurt you before you even have a chance of thinking about hurting me

heartbreak
