Grim Reaper..

You are my Grim Reaper

You stood tall

You stood proud

Your picture upon the wall

You stood our from the crowd

You were smart

You taught me how to survive a war

I wanted to be your counterpart

But what happened next shook me to my core...

Lies...

despite the same uniform

we were not allies

No amount of training could prepare me for the storm

The storm inside my lifeless body

You took something that wasn't yours

Like it was a raw commodity

It was too much to endure

I have been a walking corpse

You never finished the job

You have made my mind warp

And all I can do is sob

For you have robbed me

As my Grim Reaper

My death never came so I could be free

And every day the knife cuts deeper
