You:
Ice is cold.
And it burns
Just the thought of it sends shivers down my spine
Your face as I look at it-
frozen
Unknown whether out of stone, or in time itself
And as I play with and speak to you
I realize more and more that I am speaking to a statue
An unfeeling man that stands tall
Empty inside
But you are not empty
You are filled with a deep desire to control
And manipulate
And you are polar
Like a magnet, you attract those that love you
Those who fear you
And keep them from leaving your gravity
So large is your ego
You sustain moons that encircle you
And we stay a reasonable distance
And dance around you
Out of fear
We have learned over the years that the closer we get to you
The nearer we are
To destruction
And as every fiber of my being tells me to leave
You pull me back with a love so fake
That I mistake it to be real
Oh you are from hell
And you burn those that believe you are touchable
And just the thought of you sends chills down my spine.
Hello! I'm glad you chose to read my post! My first one at that! So, here's a little about what I want to do on Vocal, and how I will format my work:
My name is Ramon Fonseca and I live in Southern California. Through posting my work to Vocal I want to not only get my voice heard by thousands of people and gain a following as a result, but I want to save money to go to college! I want to major in Psychology and English, so of course, it's gonna be pricey.
Now, as for my work:
I write poetry. That is what I'm good at, that is what I love to do. If that's what you want to spend time reading, continue to read my stuff. My style is split into two factions: Nature and Emotions. I use poetry as a form of relief to get my emotions on paper so I can make sense of them. As for nature, it fascinates me, and the only way I can describe how I feel walking through a muddled meadow is to write a poem about it.
Because I want to write about both nature and my confusing emotions, I'm going to give you a haiku on top, usually related to the main poem in theme, then the poem will be down here. After my poem will/may be some commentary either explaining or related to news about me or my work. Regardless, I hope you the reader enjoy the messy confuddlement that will be spilled from my brain onto the internet, and I hope you continue to wade through it with me.
Thank you.
