Yes, as a matter of fact,

to be exact.

It tis' the season,

for joy and good cheer, not treason.

Mr. King,

to, gifts bring.

There is no need to be crass,

or brazen, or brass.

Thankful for salvation and electricity,

because, without them, it would be a pity.

But, especially thankful for the former,

and for fireplaces to make us all the warmer.

It is a blessed time for giving,

and being thankful for just living.

Life and time is well-spent with family all around,

because without them I would have drowned.

Christmas time is a wonderful time for worship sweet,

and for great foods and many a baked treat.

Tasty hot chocolate and gingerbread houses too,

sugar cookies, and candy cane, oh, what a view!

Mr. King, I truly wish you could spend Christmas with me,

because I think you'd change your mind as you'd begin to see.

Christmas truly is special, and not just a gimmick,

or a time to be silly and mimic.

But a time to praise the one who was born,

who grew up, and was completely torn.

For you and me,

so that we both might be free.

Free to celebrate and give up praise,

for all the rest of our days.

Because, our next day is not certain,

as death may choose to raise his curtain.
