Write For You

A place to place my emotions

I write for you

to right for you

who taught me, you

who taught me what is true

from the mountain tops

to beneath the rocks

I sing a beautiful song of sorrow

I write because you once told me

I am no poet, merely a boy

A boy who struggles deeply

A boy who is no longer afraid to stand to them

A boy who is not on the surface as what is inside

A boy who took his heart and sent it far away

for reasons he can't understand

A boy who seems to fight against his own idols

In pursuit of false ones

A boy who takes things which are glowing and full of love

And squeezes them until they cry, then die

There is nothing poetic

This is only pain

I write because of you

I write for you

sad poetry
