Would It Matter At All?

None.

I am always contemplating the truth about life and death.

Why does everything seem to come so easy for some?

They seem to have it all; anything they could ever desire.

They are so happy and everyone loves being with them.

They never have doubts about themselves or their lives.

They’re the pretty people who everyone wants to be like.

Other people have nothing, they scrounge for everything.

They struggle each day to just get by; but seem to smile.

They’re in pain and they don’t have the means to survive.

They struggle each day to put on their mask and go out.

They always have doubts about why they are even here.

Is there anything else out there? Can the outcasts be free?

What if they were to find someplace better and they left?

Would it matter at all that they were ever even here alive?

Might any of the lucky people ever think of these exiles?

Or will the world just be better without them being here?

What is out there beyond what we know here and now?

Could it be any better? I cannot see how it can be worse.

Perhaps it would have to be better. For some life is Hell.

So, the afterlife would have to be better than life is now.

So, what if some people just decided to check out early?

What if every miserable person who has been here in Hell

Decided to gamble on trying out paradise; or nothingness.

Would the elite beautiful people even take time to notice?

I wonder if they would even care that the down were gone.

Maybe we should all just take that leap of faith and just fall.

I wonder; would it really matter at all?
