Workplace
For you to feel as you feel right
She sits so subtly on her troubled ass
Talking so much it bores the class;
Talking of times that never did come
And reminding us of lives that happened to none.
Faces of wonder and sighs of despair
Does little to disturb her tedious air.
Until round the corner comes a high pitched crow
Silencing the lamb with her overall know
Telling us about who we’ve become
Laughing and joking, trying to be fun
Perched on her judgement, and looking on down
With her ever-watching eyes and worrying frown.
And hidden away in a locked up room
Is a young golden princess with a beautiful groom
Who wanders out as a timid being
With wide open eyes and disbelief in her seeing
To take away momentary rest
With pointless work so we’re at our best.
But the eagle in charge does little to see
What happens underneath him so effortlessly.
If point meets point a smile will come
But if ropes do not tie, his worry is none
So why should we worry if the eagle won’t fly
Or waste our breath or utter a sigh.
So tell this to our aged friend
Who lets this task drive him round the bend
With waterfalls of worry drowning in fear
When needlessly we realise the need to adhere
So a laugh and a chuckle blocks the release
Of children and adults who can not be pleased.
The crows offspring watches with awe
Not believing the pointless acts he saw
And with a yawn he turns onto his side
From the front he chooses to run and hide
And by time the jobs have all been done
He returns back home having done none.
So leads us upstairs to naught but a pound
Who is our living proof of lost and found
As witless a wonder known to he
Though innocent and gentle his inner may be
He listlessly sees the job to none
And lives his simplicity as ought to be done.
A place like no other this must be said
Where once bright brains appear to be dead
Where slow crawling days force us to ask
Why it is us who must suffer this task
My advice is simple though you may not believe
Once you enter this place, you may never leave!
