Woe

Unrequited Love

Woe is me,

She is the sea,

I am but land,

And there I stand.

Her waves roar,

Love crashing onto my shore.

Sun baked sand drinks its elixir,

The waves recede,

I shiver.

Woe is me

Woe to be free

Shake me to my foundations

A blind eye to those complications

This agony!

Come, reality,

Look upon my plight

Take it from me, or it is here I fight.

Water’s dance,

A fluid romance,

But I stand unmoved.
