With Life Comes New Leaves

A Poem on LIfe

In this life, we are trees, but with new life friends, comes new leaves.

Yes, we’re blown and whirled about, but sun still shines amidst our doubt.

We have roots set deeply in, knowing that we tree are kin

Even when rain’s pouring down, my fellow trees won’t let me drown.

In autumn time, our leaves will change, but don’t be scared, it’s just a phase

No need to be afraid at all, the tallest trees have leaves that fall.

Winter comes and with its cold reminds us that our leaves are old.

They will die and you may cry, but that just means that springs nearby.

The sun will come and melt the ice, and our old leaves have paid their price,

So we may usher in new life and realize that the storm’s alright.

Remember as your leaves come in that life may swirl and twirl and spin,

And yes, in this life we are trees, but friend, we’ll always get new leaves.
