Wish's Lost

Poem

Those days filled with innocence, pleasure's of joy

To be a child, a little girl, a little boy

Wishing for the time to pass me by

so I wouldn't have to ask and wonder why

Now I have found those days I reached for so bold

Now they tell me I am getting old

My smile has withered but it is still within

The child that I was the child I had been

Wishing my days to pass me by

My wish coming true, now I fear I will die

Life's little joke played on me

I want to be young, I want to be free

Free of the burdens and the torment of life

Oh, what I wouldn't give to be young once again

To be innocent and pure, feeling joy within
