Winter for a Poet

Winter for the mind

Heaven on earth.

Winter Dreams

I have found solace in my own depression

In my own pain I have found what makes me alive

striving only for what can determine my fate

through wind, rain and the simple cold.

knowing that when the times comes

the rain will wash away my tears and the cold will numb the pain

not in steel, leather or wood will I find myself

In the simple notion of the season

In the dancing leafs, the salty fresh air

I will find solace where one never knew possible.

Solace will come to me through the morning dew

solace will come to me though the moon and the rain

in fall days and winter nights

solace will come.
