Winter

Cold Feelings of an Old Lover

The tracks that were laid by her,Told tales of their own.Littered with deceit and tragedy,Yet hope remains.

I am me and you are you,Difference makes the world turn,Yet when those blasts of anger came,Ceased.

The heart of an angel,The mind of her mother.Heartlessly taking advantage.

"I'll change!" She cried,My mind is made,My heart has changed.

Maybe another can make amends,But not me.The flowing lakes of love that riddled her veins prior,Were frozen this winter.

Communicating worked less,Scrapping worked more.

Burning passion kept us going,Now that has gone,We're alone. For good.
